What I read regularly
I read about 10 periodicals regularly, down from more than 60
before the Web. Now I read more than a hundred websites fairly
regularly. Here are a few of the sources I find indispensable.
Print Periodicals
- The Economist
-
The single best in-depth coverage of the world. They're
conservative - but by British standards. They recommended
Kerry over Bush in the last US Election.
- Scientific American
-
Yes, they're not as technical as they used to be. They're
still the best. They do have a wierd prejudice against
nano-technology - what's up with that?
Websites
- BBC News
-
A good source of up-to-the-minute information on any news of
global significance.
- World Press Review
-
Translates articles of current interest from the world's
major newspapers into English.
- Slashdot
-
Create a free account and customize the topics. It's great
to be a nerd!
